Dabur India has linked up with the retail sector aspiring to hit the Rs 35,000 crore-structured section of the country with strategies to spend Rs 140 crore by next three years.
The company has integrated a supplementary unit, H&B Stores Ltd (H&BSL), for its retail business that predicts rolling out 350 health and beauty format stores throughout the country.
Dabur India chairman V C Burman said, “Retail is the next big focus area for Dabur India. H&B Stores Ltd plans to open over 1,000 stores by its 10th year of operation.”
Dabur India Ltd CEO Sunil Duggal stated that the retail undertaking would run under a different brand name, which would be decided later.
The thorough business tactics, as well as the brand name, is likely to be annunciated in April-May.
He added that the company was purposing at profitability in the fourth year of performances and has located a goal of about Rs 1,700 crore revenues in the first five years.
H&BSL plans to build stores ranging from 1,500 sq ft to 6,000 sq ft in size, which would be operated on a franchise model.
“This is also in keeping with the company's current portfolio of ayurvedic & herbal products and would add significantly to the company's distribution footprint,” Mr. Burman added. |
