Ashok Leyland Monthly Sales Climb 35% |

Ashok Leyland’s vehicle sales for the year ending March 31, 2007, were 35 per cent superior as compared to its sales in the previous year.
The company sold 83,101 vehicles during the year as against 61,655 previously. Sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles stood at 76,741 presenting a 37 per cent growth.
Exports gained 23 per cent at 6,025 vehicles. Whereas the monthly sales figures in March demonstrated a slump with total sales of 8,444 vehicles as against 8,577 during the same month of the previous year.
Domestic sales and exports were 7,936 (8,087) and 508 (490) respectively. Total sales of MDV (medium duty vehicles) in March was 7,936 (8,009) and LCVs (light commercial vehicles) nil (78).
