Sensex Surges 186 Pts In Early Trade Print E-mail

Today, the share prices opened firmly on the major Indian bourses. The climate is so cheerful that none of the Sensex constituents is in the red. Additionally, there is no trace of losers in the Nifty index. The overall appreciation goes to the optimistic trend in worldwide markets.

The BSE Sensex opened positively at 12,904.85, and reached 13,042.06, up 185.98 points as against its preceding closing mark. On the other hand, the Nifty has soared up to 3803, made a big gain of 51 points.

Banking, IT, Automobile, Metal Stocks, and capital goods have drummed up elegantly. Many of FMCG, healthcare and oil stocks also make quick gains in the early trades.

Tata Steel is on the top of the list after gaining about 2.1% at Rs 475. Reliance Energy also advanced over 2% at Rs 511. The stocks that boosted up their values between 1 – 2 per cent include Gujarat Ambuja Cements, ICICI Bank, BHEL, ONGC, Hero Honda, Ranbaxy Laboratories, HDFC Bank, SBI, Satyam Computers, Hindalco, Tata Consultancy Services HDFC, Cipla, ITC, Larsen & Toubro, Infosys Technologies, ACC, Reliance Communications, Tata Motors, and Reliance Industries have gained 1% - 2%.

Whereas gainers’ on the Nifty index are SAIL, MTNL, HCL Technologies, PNB, VSNL, Zee Telefilms, BPCL, Sterlite Industries, Suzlon Energy, GAIL India, ABB and Tata Power.

The constituents that have also posted smart gains include Maruti Udyog, Wipro, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Mahindra & Mahindra, Glaxo SmithKline Pharma, Hero Honda, Hindustan Lever, Ranbaxy Laboratories, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Sun Pharmaceuticals and Grasim Industries.
