Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has declared its yearly results, and made record earnings of Rs 2,510 crore.

The company made all this income gains from its products and systems developed through its domestic research efforts.

According to a statement that the income gains through its indigenous products commercialization stood at 14 per cent of its total turnover of Rs 18,702 crore during its last financial (2006).

The statement also added that the recent outcome is the result of continuous driving force on making novel technologies and products, and also ameliorating subsisting products and systems in terms of consistency, dependability, quality, price with the help of internal research and development plans.

As compared to its last fiscal, the company had spent 58 per cent more on research and development (R&D).

In addition to all these, the company was also building up a more energy efficient single cylinder non-reheat steam turbine for 100-140 MW application suitable for plants with large amount of waste heat and no reheat option.
