ONGC To Invest Rs 18,000 Cr In Current Year

For oil and gas exploration and production, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) will make an investment of Rs 18,000 during the recent financial year 2007-08. R S Sharma, the company’s chairman said out of the total investment of Rs 18,000 crore, nearly Rs 5,000 crore would be for investigation and new discoveries and the rest amount would be for bettering recovery from subsisting fields and building up new ones. Last year the capital expenditure of the company was Rs 15,000 crore.
